WONZ_5GNOMEWEBWARBIRD RADIO – On this episode of the Wings Over New Zealand Show, Dave talks with Tony Wytenburg of Classic Aero Machining Services from the Omaka Aerodrome, Blenheim, NZ.  We’ll learn about the re-manufactured Gnome rotary aero engines they’re producing.

The Gnome was used on many of the well known WWI aircraft types, from both sides. We’ll also hear from Andrew Carter of TAVAS who has the first of these new build Gnomes fitted to his replica Fokker E.III Eindekker, which took to the air for the first time in May 2015. Co-host Grant is away this week but he is pre-recording an Australian news segment, and Dave will give a run down on local New Zealand warbird news and more.  Thanks for tuning in!

The Wings Over New Zealand Show – Graham Orphan – LIVE Episode 3

FightersWARBIRD RADIO – Tonight on the Wings Over New Zealand Show, Dave Homewood’s live with Graham Orphan of Blenheim. For the past 20 years Graham has been the editor of the world renowned Classic Wings magazine which focuses on warbird stories, restorations and histories.

 

Mr. Orphan has also led the team who run the Classic Fighters airshow at Omaka Aerodrome, Blenheim, since the air show’s inception back in 2001. Mr. Orphan is also heavily involved with the famous Aviation Heritage Centre at Omaka, and with the Marlborough Warbirds Association. The main focus of this interview will be the upcoming Classic Fighters air show at Omaka this Easter, 3rd to 5th of April 2015.
