Warbird Radio Presents – The Robert “Punchy” Powell Story
Posted by Staff Writer on June 5, 2016 · 2 Comments
WARBIRD RADIO – Robert “Punchy” Powell flew P-51’s and P-47’s in WWII with the famous 352nd Fighter Group in Bodney, Norfolk. The Nazi’s nicknamed the 352nd The Blue Nosed Bastards because of their distinct blue nose paint jobs…and their pilot’s overwhelming accuracy.
Punchy fills us in on what it was like to fly the Mustang during D-Day and much more. His story is one you’ll definitely want to listen to over and over again. Enjoy it this Friday from our archive.

Great program, as always!
Matt that was a great interview. It went by way too fast. Can you post more of that interview or perhaps a second interview with Mr. Powell?
