The Wings Over New Zealand Show Live! – “The Gnome” – Episode 5

WONZ_5GNOMEWEBWARBIRD RADIO – On this episode of the Wings Over New Zealand Show, Dave talks with Tony Wytenburg of Classic Aero Machining Services from the Omaka Aerodrome, Blenheim, NZ.  We’ll learn about the re-manufactured Gnome rotary aero engines they’re producing.

The Gnome was used on many of the well known WWI aircraft types, from both sides. We’ll also hear from Andrew Carter of TAVAS who has the first of these new build Gnomes fitted to his replica Fokker E.III Eindekker, which took to the air for the first time in May 2015. Co-host Grant is away this week but he is pre-recording an Australian news segment, and Dave will give a run down on local New Zealand warbird news and more.  Thanks for tuning in!
