Hi guys, listening to the pod cast….something that maybe of interst……….I use a ONE PART polyurethene preparation called G4 (Made by a company called ROMAR-VOSS in Germany) on light cloth to finish my smaller, (up to a bout 75″ ) aeroplanes…..Believe it or not, It is sold as a sealer for concrete swimming pools etc etc. !!!!! ..It dries to a hard surface and can be sanded. Good points are there is NO SMELL ..and its pretty quick and easy to use……I normally coat the balsa to be covered with a coat or two of sanding sealer first, which stops the G4 soaking into the wood and added unneeded weight to the airframe…….It is VERY popular with the speed merchants in Europe for covering the small light wings on their racers without cloth! ! I find it great on my scale models too, and because there is no heat generated to don’t get warps and the like.

    Just my 2 cents worth

have a great day folks and keep up the good work…I listen every week and always enjoy your mix of humour , knowledge and advise………

It may not be available in the States, but there are possibly similar products (concrete sealer etc etc) available

    Thanks again
