WARBIRD RADIO PRESENTS – He spent over 32 years in the United States Navy, enlisting during World War II as a Naval Aviation Cadet, and finishing his career with the rank of Rear Admiral. Along the way, he flew FM2 Wildcats off paddlewheel aircraft carriers in Lake Michigan and eventually commanded an entire carrier battle group. Today Admiral Freeman spends his time watching over the Louisa County, Virginia airport.     While I was in the Navy, I had the pleasure of being stationed on the USS Saratoga CVA60 when Capt. Freeman took command. I must say that of all the Officers I served under, I thought he was the most outstanding leader I had ever met.
    He was in control at all times. He was the Best.
