BREAKING NEWS – Hellcat Raised From Lake Michigan!

MONDAY – Warbird Radio has just confirmed that an F6F Hellcat has been successfully raised from Lake Michigan. The F6F-3 sank on January 5, 1945 after a landing mishap on the USS Sable. The pilot, Lieutenant J-G Walter B. Elcock, narrowly escaped with his life after plummeting into the freezing water. Mr. Elcock will join us on Warbird Radio LIVE! – Tuesday to share his story. Plus we’ll have updates on the plan for his “now safe on shore” F6F-3 Hellcat. Stay tuned!
