The Rhode Island Air Show – Warbird Radio LIVE! – Episode 627

WARBIRD RADIO – The Rhode Island National Guard Open House and Air Show always draws a huge crowd and this year’s lineup will no doubt do the same.  Colonel Peter Parente joins Matt Jolley with a look at the 2017 show and what’s expected.  In addition to Colonel Parente Matt welcomes Mark Murphy as well to this episode.

Mark plans to fly a Corsair during the Rhode Island show with a full aerobatic demonstration.  Normally, Mark brings the P-51 Never Miss but he says this year he’s bringing a Corsair.  We’ll hear the details on this episode.  As always your calls and comments are welcomed!

Warbird Radio LIVE! – Sandbar Mitchell UPDATE – Episode 626

WARBIRD RADIO – Patrick Mihalek from the Warbirds of Glory Museum joins Matt Jolley with an update on the B-25 Sandbar Mitchell restoration.  Patrick’s team of volunteers (mostly youth) are tirelessly working to bring their B-25 back to flying condition.  Take a look at their website via the Quick Link posted below for picture and videos of the recovery and restoration.

Aviator Rich Perkins, Beach City Baby & Chino Lawsuit Update – Warbird Radio LIVE! – Ep625

WARBIRD RADIO – Air Force veteran and air show pilot Rich Perkins joins Matt Jolley tonight with a look at his upcoming performance at the Travis AFB air show.  Matt also welcomes Jason Capra with the Beach City Baby C-53 restoration project back to the show.  Jason’s team of dedicated volunteers are working hard to restore the roar of their C-53.  We’ll find out where the efforts stand tonight.

The Last Raider – Lt Col RE Cole – Warbird Radio LIVE! – Episode 624

WARBIRD RADIO – Seventy-five years ago on April 18th eight brave men launched from the USS Hornet on a mission that would forever leave a mark on history.  Tonight we’ll hear from the last surviving member of the Doolittle Tokyo Raiders – Lt. Col. RE Cole about his experiences on the mission.  Lt. Col. Cole flew as Jimmy Doolittle’s co-pilot and his story is one you don’t want to miss.

We’ll also check in with Larry Kelley who flew today’s memorial flight over the National Museum of the United States Air Force.  As always your calls and comments are welcomed.
