The Warbird Rescue Show

Warbird Rescue Join Chris Henry, Rob Morelli and Jake Smith for the Warbird Rescue Hour. This show is about getting folks involved with warbirds in their area. Whether it’s a flying museum, or a gate guard aircraft, the show focuses on getting help to the airplanes that need it most. Many people feel they have nothing to offer a restoration, this show proves just the opposite. Everyone can play a part.

Show hosts Chris Henry and Rob Morelli became friends while working on B-17's at an air museum in Pittsburgh, PA in the early 90's. Since then they have been involved in aviation in many different aspects. When both Chris and Rob moved to Indianapolis for aviation jobs, they met Jake Smith. Chris is a pilot and Air Traffic Controller. He has volunteered at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, and at the National Museum of the USAF. He is now currently a board member at the Grissom Air Museum.

Rob Morelli started working on warbirds as a teenager, and has worked on many restorations of vintage and military aircraft. Rob is currently an aircraft mechanic and on the display committee for the Grissom Air Museum. Jake Smith served multiple tours in Operation Enduring Freedom as a C-130 and later AC-130 mechanic.
