The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour

Tune in for The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour hosted by Gerald "Hawkeye" Voigt. Our show will be about plastic scale modeling and modelers. We'll feature special guests from all aspects of the hobby. Discussions will include how-to's, reviews, news and much, much more. Since debuting in November 2011, the show has seen continued growth of listenership with each episode.

 
A US Air Force Veteran who lives in Neenah, Wisconsin, "Hawkeye" is the owner of Hawkeye's Hobbies LLC which produces two natural metal finish paint lines. He is a partner of Zero To Sixty Marketing LLC, serving businesses nationwide, many of which are also a part of the hobby industry.

He designed and developed two new pro series tools for Xuron Corp; serves as the marketing director for Sprue Brothers Models and has served on the Hobby Manufacturing Association's (HMA) General Division Council.

Hawkeye is also an active member of the IPMS/Steve Wittman Chapter, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He has written and contributed reviews and articles for IPMS, Finescale Modeler Magazine, Model Retailer and the HMA.


The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour – Draw Decal – Ep#24

The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour – Eduard Models – Ep#23

WARBIRD RADIO – Joining us this week on The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour LIVE from the Czech Republic is Eduard Models, Chairman-Vladimir Sulc.

Eduard Model Accessories was formed in 1989 in the basement of co-owner Ctirad Kuraks house in Most, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). Two years previous, Mr. Kurak and Vladimir Sulc had started making photo etch for themselves and had decided that it was possible to sell to shops, so in 1990 the first photo etch, a 1/48th scale Su 25K, was produced for sale.

Today, Eduard is one of, if not the largest producer of aftermarket Photo Etched and Resin accessories. They are also known for their excellent scale model kits.

The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour – Belcher Bits – Ep#21

WARBIRD RADIO – Scale models are made up of various parts, but when you want to turn something ordinary into something unique you need a few assorted specialty bits. One such resource for those bits is Belcher Bits. Joining us this week on The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour is Master Modeler, Michael Belcher who founded Belcher Bits in 1994.

Belcher Bits is one of the many smaller ‘garage kit’ manufacturers in the aftermarket business today. Its proprietor, Mike Belcher, is a  retired professional engineer who worked for the Canadian Navy in Ottawa. Mike has been a modeller for 25 years, most of that time as an avid scratchbuilder interested in Russian armour, naval aviation, helicopters and Star Trek ships. Mike is also a keen supporter of IPMS Canada and has been editor of the national publication, RT since 1982.
