The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour
Tune in for The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour hosted by Gerald ‘Hawkeye’ Voigt. Our show will be about plastic scale modeling and modelers. We’ll feature special guests from all aspects of the hobby. Discussions will include how-to’s, reviews, news and much, much more. Our first two episodes air on Monday, November 21 and 28 at 8 p.m. EST.
A US Air Force Veteran who lives in Neenah, Wisconsin, ‘Hawkeye’ is the owner of Hawkeye’s Hobbies LLC which produces two natural metal finish paint lines. He is a partner of Zero To Sixty Marketing LLC, serving businesses nationwide, many of which are also a part of the hobby industry.
He designed and developed two new pro series tools for Xuron Corp; serves as the marketing director for Sprue Brothers Models and has served on the Hobby Manufacturing Association’s (HMA) General Division Council.
Hawkeye is also an active member of the IPMS/Steve Wittman Chapter, Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He has written and contributed reviews and articles for IPMS, Finescale Modeler Magazine, Model Retailer and the HMA.

The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour – Werner’s Wings – Ep#13
Master Scale Modeler Floyd Werner joins us this week on The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour to talk about his line of resin accessories, decals and modeling videos.
We’ll also talk about his career in the US Army as a helicopter pilot as well as his current aviation career in law enforcement.

WARBIRD RADIO – For many scale modelers getting their scale models into a magazine for others to see is an achievement they dream of.
This week Paul Boyer, Retired Editor of Finescale Modeler Magazine joins me on The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour to provide insights on Building Models For Publication.
Paul will give us some tips and guidance of how to get your works published. He’ll also share a bit about his time as an US Air Force Combat Cameraman during Vietnam.

The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour – The F-18 Hornet – Episode #10
WARBIRD RADIO – The US Navy celebrated its Centennial Of Naval Aviation and as part of that celebration several aircraft were given retro paint schemes including two versions of the F-18. This week on The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour we learn more about what it was like to fly the CONA F-18s from one of the demo pilots who flew them. LT Alex “Scribe” Armatas, from VFA-122 “Flying Eagles.”
He’ll share what it was like to perform at airshows such as AirVenture, flying both the Legacy Hornet and the Super Hornet during the Heritage Flights to celebrating 100 years of Naval Aviation. You’ll have you chance to call in with your questions about the Hornets and the Navy. We’ll discuss what it is like to fly an F-18 Hornet from a steel island in the middle of the ocean. So Rhino fans be sure to tune in!
We’ll be talking about modeling the F-18 too! So grab your F-18 Hornet and Super Hornet kits, accessories, references and articles from your stash, its time to take notes and hopefully listening to his program will get you motivated to get building an F-18!

WARBIRD RADIO – To give some Perspective of what its like on the opposite side of the counter, my guest this week on The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour is a local hobby shop owner.
Joining me is Bob Mazza, owner of a Hobby Town USA franchise located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He’ll share what the challenges and rewards are of being in the retail hobby business.
We’ll also have Hal Miller with his insights and news about the hobby industry with his Industry Report.
