WARBIRD RADIO – This week we remember our friend and Doolittle Tokyo Raider Major Tom Griffin.  Mr. Griffin passed away earlier this week and we thought it appropriate to pay tribute to him on this episode.  We’ll also check in with John Cudahy from the International Council of Air Shows with the latest news on Sequestration and the pending air show cut backs.

The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour – Kits and Contests – Ep#56

This week on The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour information about:

HeritageCon 2013 is being hosted by IPMS-Canada’s Hamilton Chapter at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museumlocated at 9280 Airport Road Mount Hope in Ontario Canada on March 3. This is one of Canada’s premiere scale modeling events.

EAA’s Family Flightfest will be held March 2 & 3 at the EAA AirVenture Museum in Oskhosh, Wisconsin. The event features scale modeling exhibits as well as a Make N Take for the kids. This event has something for all ages and truly is a family event!

The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour – VAW 113 Black Eagles – Ep54

WARBIRD RADIO -This week on The Plastic Scale Modeling Hour we spend time with two crewmen from Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron One One ThreeVAW-113 The Black Eagles from their home base at Naval Air Station-Point Magu, California. Listen as we hear about operations onboard the E-2C Hawkeye.

You can build a model of the E-2 Hawkeye using the kits produced by Hasegawa (1:72) or Kinetic (1:48). If you search around you might still be able to find the kit released by Fujimi too. There are plenty of aftermarket accessories for the E-2 Hawkeye including decals, resin and photo-etch. Sprue Brothers offers 55 different items related to this aircraft.
